Royal Mail postal delivery driver

Role: Delivering mail and parcels to houses and businesses within a set area, you’ll start your day for an hour or so in the local delivery office, sorting the mail for your route, before taking out your van to complete your round. You’ll each be given a hand-held computer device to capture customer signatures for deliveries and the round will take around four hours to complete. The hand-held computer will also act as your routing system putting your round in the most economical route, telling you which house to go to next.

Hours: between mid-morning 11am until early evening 7pm. The role is working any five days from six with an opportunity to work overtime. Part time working opportunities are also available.

Self-employed delivery driver

Role: Delivering a healthy amount of parcels within the TS24 area using your own vehicle. Specific delivery experience is not essential. All you need to apply for the role is a car or a small van (up to 3.5 tonne) and an Android or iOS smartphone that meets minimum specification. If your device does not meet this specification we may still be able to offer you an opportunity, however, those of you able to bring your own device will take preference over those without.

Hours: up to six days per week, depending on parcel volume this may take as little as four hours or more to complete services each day.

Wage: You will be paid for every parcel you deliver (rate is variable depending on your area), average daily earnings circa £30-£40 per day.

Role: Alice House Hospice is seeking to recruit a temporary van driver. A clean driver’s licence is essential. Post will involve will working closely with the warehouse manager to ensure that all collections and deliveries are managed effectively, supporting and being involved in fundraising activities.

Temporary Class 2 Day Driver (Cat C)

Role: Work will consist of the delivery of carpets and floor coverings, using a box bodied vehicle. HGV Class 2 (CAT C) licence, Driver CPC Card and Digital Tacho are a must. This is a physically demanding role, with significant manual handling required.

Role: Warehouse operative duties, scanning, picking and packing and FLT duties driving a CB and Reach (tickets must be valid and external)

Hours: positions available for shift rotations, days and nights.

Wage: Rates of pay are dependent on the shift £8.60-£9.75ph, with overtime rates.

Role: load plant and vehicles safely and efficiently ensuring that there is a good flow of material to maximise production also moving material around the yard to keep it tidy and well organised.

A 360 driving certificate (ticket) awarded by a recognised awarding body is required.

Hour: site operates 24 hours Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. Alternate weeks of early and late shifts, 6am 6pm and 6pm–6am Monday – Friday. Saturday morning shift when working the early shift

Role: The work will involve working as part of a water jetting squad as well as driving duties so a strong team ethic is desirable for this role. Candidates must hold a valid HGV Class One / LGV C+E Licence as well as in date Digi card and CPC.

Preferably the ideal candidate will also have CSCS / CSNG , Confined Space and High Pressure Water Jetting Certificates. The work will involve working away occasionally, however, accommodation will be provided and overtime will be available.

Wage: basic pay rate is: £11.47 per hour (PAYE) with weekend overtime rates available. Limited Company drivers are welcome and will receive the relevant uplift.

Retail/warehouse stock counter driver

Role: oversee the transportation of a small team of stock counters to and from each shift. Whilst on site, you will be expected to undertake accurate stock taking duties using a hand held terminal / bar code scanner. You will not be based in one particular store and will be travelling to a different client site for each job. For this role you must have a full UK Driving Licence.

Hours: this role may involve working unsociable hours, working early mornings and night shifts.

Wage: £8.25 per hour. On top of your hourly rate, you will receive up to a £50 weekly bonus based on performance.

Role: orders from stores and making sure customers get them on time. When you’re not driving you’ll be helping out in the stock room.

Hours: shift patterns between 5am and 10pm. Contracts for 20 hours on a fixed term contract basis until December 31, working both weekdays and weekends with overtime opportunities available. Weekend availability is essential to this role.

7.5T (C1) Driver with C/B Forklift

Role: Work will consist of delivery of carpets and flooring fixtures, unloading is required with C/B forklift. Delivery is between customers sites. Applying candidates are required to hold a valid 7.5 T (CAT C1) entitlement, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver CPC Card and counterbalance forklift licence.

Hours: full-time, temporary.

Role: drivers will pick up and load a delivery van for drops in specific geographical areas around Cleveland and Darlington. You will deliver in excess of 60 – 80 parcels per day.

Successful candidates will have a full clean UK driving licence (less than 6 points will be considered), also must be organised, physically fit to be able to manually load parcels into a van and unload each delivery and have a good geographical knowledge of Cleveland/Darlington and surrounding area.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am-4pm, may work overtime (over eight hours or Saturdays).
