Embankment Road reopens after Royal Mail lorry gets stuck under bridge

A Royal Mail lorry appears to have got stuck under a bridge on Embankment Road.

One eyewitness told Plymouth Live that there are “massive delays” in the area due to the “stuck” lorry.

She said: “Lorry stuck on Embankment Road, Exeter-bound, causing massive traffic delays. It’s too big to go through.”

Pictures show the Royal Mail vehicle under the bridge which has a height restriction warning emblazoned on it.

Vehicles getting stuck under the bridge is a frequent occurrence.

Devon and Cornwall Police and Royal Mail has been contacted for more information.
