Investing.com — The European Union has not received a letter from the United States that demands countries to present their best trade negotiation offers by Wednesday, as reported by Reuters early Tuesday.
The U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, following a call with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, reinstated a deadline of July 9 to allow for ongoing negotiations between Washington and Brussels.
As of now, it remains unclear whether the letter, a draft of which was previously circulated by several media outlets, has been sent to the negotiating partners. The details of the letter and its current status remain undisclosed. The ongoing talks are part of a larger negotiation between the U.S. and the EU, with the aim to resolve trade disputes and establish a mutually beneficial agreement.
