With Christmas just around the corner, many of us are preparing our cards and gifts for loved-ones near and far, relying heavily on postal services to get them to their destination on time for the big day. There’s a variety of postal services available from DPD to Parcelforce and Evri, each with their own final dates for ensuring parcels arrive in time for the festive season.

To ensure your Christmas post reaches its destination on time, all companies are encouraging customers to send items as early as possible. It’s also important to remember that last posting dates can vary depending on the destination address, reports The Mirror.

DPD

DPD offers three distinct services – Next Day, Two Day and Gold, each with different final posting dates for Christmas deliveries within the UK, reports the Express. For those planning to use DPD’s Next Day and Next Day by 12 services, the last recommended posting date is Monday, December 22. However, for deliveries destined for postcodes AB36-Ab38, FK17-FK21, IV1-IV62, KA27, KW1-KW14, PA20-PA33, PA35-PA38, PH19-PH50, it’s advised to post by Saturday, 20 December.

Parcels for IV63 and KA28 postcodes should be dispatched by Friday, December 19, and those for HS1-HS9, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-PA48, PA80, ZE1-ZE3 should be sent by Wednesday, December 17.

For DPD’s Two Day service, parcels heading to postcodes AB36-AB38, FK17-FK21, IV1-IV62, KA27, KW1-KW14, PA20-PA33, PA38, PH19-PH50 need to be posted by Saturday, December 20.

Lastly, DPD Gold’s final recommended posting date is Tuesday, December 23, marking DPD’s absolute last chance for getting parcels delivered in time for Christmas.

Evri

Evri offers two postal options – Standard Tracked and Next Day Tracked, each with distinct recommended Christmas posting dates. The last date for Evri’s Standard Tracked is Friday, December 19, while for Next Day Tracked it’s Monday, December 22.

Parcelforce

For Parcelforce, the final recommended posting date for Worldwide express48 is Friday, December 19. For their Worldwide express24, expressAM and express10 services, parcels should be dispatched by Monday, December 22 to ensure pre-Christmas arrival.

Royal Mail

Royal Mail provides five different parcel posting options, each with its own final posting date. Second Class and Second Class Signed For items should be sent by Wednesday, December 17.

First Class or First Class Signed For must be dispatched by Saturday, December 20, whilst Tracked 24 is Monday, December 22 and Tracked 48 is Friday, December 19.

Their Special Delivery Guaranteed service is Royal Mail’s final option, with the recommended posting date being Tuesday, December 23.
