Exact date Cambridge Post Office will reopen after four-month closure

A Cambridge Post Office will be reopening its doors later this month. The branch, based at the University of Cambridge’s West Hub, confirmed the news in a letter sent to customers.

The venue first opened in September 2022 and is one of many in and around the city centre. However, the branch has been shut since the beginning of March, with the company saying the closure was in place until further notice.

The company have now said that the branch will be open as normal on Tuesday, July 23. Once it has reopened, it will be available from 9.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

In a statement, the Post Office said: “We are delighted to let you know that Post Office services will be restored to West Cambridge University Post Office on Tuesday 23 July 2024 at 09:30. The branch closed on 6 March 2024 following an incident at the branch.

“The service will be operating from the same premises offering a range of Post Office products and services. Full details of the new service are provided at the end of this letter.

“I know that the local community will join me in welcoming this good news and hope that you and our customers will continue to use this service. If there are any unforeseen changes to the opening date, posters will be displayed in branch to let customers know.”

Further updates about the reopening can be found on the Post Office website here.
