Expert claims to spot ‘similarity’ between Kate and Princess Diana

The Princess of Wales showed off her sporty side as she took part in a rugby training session in Maidenhead this week, and body language expert Darren Stanton, speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, commented on Kate’s non-verbal communication during the sports event.

Darren opined that “confident” Kate is the “real deal” in the Royal Family and claimed that she “shares core values with Princess Diana”.

The body language guru observed: “Kate is just as confident getting stuck into activities as she is on the red carpet. What you see is what you get with her. She doesn’t change when it comes to different events and circumstances.

“She’s extremely authentic and the real deal. It’s clear from the response of people around her at the event that she connected with them greatly.”

He opined that Kate “has a lot of similarities with Princess Diana” and shares “the same core values of wanting to connect with people and helping them feel at ease, even if they are in the presence of the next Queen.”

He continued: “Kate appears to be an absolute professional now. She doesn’t need any coaching or any support. She’s demonstrating that she can attend events on her own, as well as with other members of the Royal Family. Kate is very much able to go off on her own and does her best to connect with people she speaks to.”

Darren commented that Kate is “prepared to get her hands dirty” to “connect” and build trust with the public as could be observed at the rugby event.

The body language expert opined: “Clothes are important as they send messages out to the world from a non-verbal aspect. Kate wearing an England rugby top and fitted trousers for this particular engagement is definitely an attempt to build a connection to the people that she was visiting.”

The expert commented that Kate “wanted to be the same as them, which enabled her to build an even deeper sense of rapport”.

In terms of body language, the Princess of Wales “came across very confident as she attended the event, she didn’t rely on her normal superhero colours of red or blues, and had a great level of self-assurance. It was almost like she had her own force field of confidence around her”.

The royal also showed great confidence whilst playing rugby, and “demonstrated that she’s prepared to get her hands dirty and isn’t precious about her title or position”.

Darren continued: “She clearly wants to be perceived as a genuine and authentic person. She also displayed a genuine smile throughout the event. With Kate, I have never seen her mask emotions with anyone that she speaks to.

“We saw the same confident Kate, with lots of open palm gestures, genuine smiles and authentic body language, which matched and mirrored the posture of those she was talking to. This demonstrates a deep trust, rapport and respect,” he added.

After analysing Kate’s body language at the rugby event, the expert observed that she “came across as competitive as she really got into that game”.

He claimed: “There’s a hidden competitive streak to Kate that we’re probably not aware of. Not in a negative sense, but she’s keen to get involved and throw herself into anything. It’s clear she works hard and wants to be at the top of her game.”

The body language guru added that from her “genuine smiles and emotions, I think she enjoyed the game – it was clearly a breath of fresh air and a break from the norm”.

“Overall, Kate appeared completely authentic and seemed pleased to interact with people. Even if she is in a tracksuit or in formal clothes, she is very much the same person,” Darren added.
