An application has been submitted proposing the extension of a unit at Prologis Park, Coventry.

Block Industrial is seeking planning permission for an extension to an existing design and manufacturing facility known as Unit J1.

The site extends to about 5.58 acres, with the surrounding area made up of commercial uses. Notable occupiers include Co-op, Royal Mail, DHL, Gefco and Mecalac.

Pneuride is the current occupier of Unit J1, from which it designs, validates and manufacturers components for the automotive and ancillary industries.

The proposed extension would provide up to 26,177 sq ft of additional industrial floorspace.

A statement filed with Coventry City Council on behalf of the applicant said: “The proposals represent an opportunity to increase and enhance the employment floorspace offering within an existing industrial area for an important existing occupier.”
