An increase in sales in both the second half of the year and over the all-important Christmas trading period have brought a smile to FatFace.
Revenue at the clothing and lifestyle chain for the 26 weeks to November rose by 9 per cent year-on-year to £136 million, boosted by “bumper” Christmas trading.
Sales increased by 34 per cent year-on-year in the five weeks to January 7, with all channels trading “positively”.
Both new and existing customers increased their average order size, pushing up digital sales by 26 per cent. Like-for-like store sales rose by 47 per cent as customers switched to in-store shopping because of the Royal Mail strikes.
