FedEx Answers UPS' Europe Play With Bite-Size Deal In Poland

Europe may be grappling with hefty debt burdens and flagging growth, but there is something drawing the world’s biggest package shippers to the region. Just a few weeks ago UPS agreed to shell out $6.8 billion for Dutch firm TNT Express, and on Thursday FedEx announced a smaller deal for a Polish courier company and talked up its own presence across the Atlantic.
