FedEx executive vice president retires

FedEx Corporation has announced that Mark R. Allen, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary, will retire after a distinguished 42-year career with the company. He will serve in his current role until Sept. 23, 2024, and then move into a senior advisor position until Dec. 31 to ensure a seamless transition to his successor who will be named at a later date.

Allen joined FedEx in 1982 and served in a variety of leadership positions prior to assuming his current role in 2017. During his tenure at FedEx, Allen has directed international commercial and aviation negotiations, managed government relations, and handled a broad array of corporate governance, regulatory, security, and operations matters. He has served in roles around the world, including Toronto, Hong Kong, and Brussels.

“Mark has been a key member of the leadership team as we faced the unprecedented challenges of a global pandemic, uncertain economy, and a wide variety of critical issues,” said Raj Subramaniam, president and CEO, FedEx Corporation. “As general counsel and secretary, Mark has helped navigate a complex environment with integrity and foresight, and his international expertise was instrumental in the global growth of FedEx.
