Find your new job or learn a new skill at the Career Connect Expo

Later this month, Bedford Borough Council in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (Jobcentre Plus) is hosting a one-stop-shop for anyone wanting to take the next step in their career.

The Career Connect Expo 2025 takes place at the Corn Exchange in Bedford town centre on Wednesday, 26 February. It will feature representatives from B&M, Serco, Center Parcs, Bedfordshire Police, Starbucks, Movianto, Bedford School, Stagecoach, Bedford Hospital, Dunbia and Kartell.

Whether you’re seeking employment, exploring new opportunities, or considering a career change, there will be something for everyone.

Personal development

In addition, there will be a strong emphasis on skills, training, and personal development. Local training providers will be delivering employability workshops, including interview preparation and CV writing, while also offering individual support to attendees to help them take the next step in their careers.

James Garlo, DWP partnership manager for Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire, said: “We are proud to be working with Bedford Borough Council to bring together local employers and job seekers in one place.

“The Career Connect Expo 2025 will provide people with direct access to job vacancies, training, and career advice, helping them move forward in their professional journey. This event is a great example of how collaboration can open up new opportunities for individuals and businesses alike.”

Councillor Andrea Spice, portfolio holder for economic growth, planning and prosperity, said: “The Career Connect Expo 2025 is a fantastic opportunity for local people to meet employers, explore job and training opportunities, and take the next step in their careers.

The event will take place from 10.30am to 2.30pm at the Corn Exchange, Bedford, and is free to attend, with no registration required.
