The fintech that enabled retail investors to participate in Covid fundraisings has appointed the former chairman of the London Stock Exchange to chair the company’s board.
Primary Bid has hired Sir Donald Brydon, who is stepping down from a similar role at Sage, the accounting software group. He had also chaired Royal Mail as it prepared to float in 2013.
He said that it was a “real privilege” to chair Primary Bid, which played a vital role in opening up capital raises caused by the crisis to small shareholders by aggregating their orders via an app.
Primary Bid raised $50 million in October last year to fund its growth. Anand Sambasivan, the company’s chief executive, said that Brydon brought “significant FTSE board experience”
