Other areas have also cropped up as notorious fly-tipping hotspots.

The Public Protection Partnership, who deal with fly-tipping issues across Bracknell, Wokingham and West Berkshire said they are increasing patrols in hotspot areas as a result.

A map has been produced to highlight fly tipping ‘hotspots’ in Bracknell Forest.

The PPP said: “The Councils Public Protection Service is treating fly tipping as a priority area and we are tackling the problem from a number of angles including public information, checks on those offering to remove waste, deployment of CCTV where possible, fixed penalty notices and investigation and prosecution of offenders where appropriate. When we do prosecute we also look to recover any clear up costs.

Finally, we are also increasing our patrols of known areas.

“The public, however, remain our greatest asset in the drive to end this damaging practice. This past year has seen an increase in the public giving us locations, times etc. of instances of fly-tipping and some of our main enforcement action this year has started with reports from the public. With this in mind we’ll be continuing our messaging encouraging members of the public who witness fly-tipping to report it to us.

“Please report it to, 01344 352000 or 01635 503242 or online here: https://publicprotectionpartnership.org.uk/about-us/campaigns/fly-tipping/”
