Food stamp users get fresh food options (Detroit News)

While grocery stores have long accepted food stamps, several farmers markets in Michigan are following a growing trend and taking the government-issued form of payment from customers, too. At least a dozen markets in the state were approved this year to accept food stamps, bringing the total to 29. That is the most of any state in the Midwest.
