FOOTBALL | ‘Your fans were a credit to your club’ – Bulls supporters praised for impeccable behaviour and fantastic support at Marine on Saturday

Bulls support praised by opposition staff member following impressive support on Saturday.

Hereford FC Chairman, Chris Ammonds, has thanked the club’s fans following Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Marine.

A sell-out away following of more than 300 supporters made the trip to Merseyside and helped create the brilliant atmosphere the exciting game deserved.

Chris Ammonds said:

“I’d like to thank every Bulls fans for the support they gave us at Marine. The encouragement provided to our team was first class and the way supporters conducted themselves inside and outside the ground was brilliant

“I received a lovely message from the Operations Director at Marine on Sunday morning praising our fans for being a credit to our club and I have to say that’s the type of thing that makes me incredibly proud.

“I’d also like to thank our Club Secretary, Nik Marsh, for spending almost 2 hours prior to kick-off distributing tickets to fans who had not received them from Royal Mail.

“Nik has plenty to do pre-match at the best of times, so he really did go above and beyond his normal matchday duties at Marine to ensure all supporters who bought a ticket got to enjoy the match.

“In addition, the extra work put in by both Emma Caine, our office administration assistant, and John Sadler, our club shop volunteer, in the build-up to the game also needs to be acknowledged and I am hugely grateful to them too.

“The ticket process and the demands placed on them both were not straightforward, but as always they rose to the challenge and did a brilliant job on behalf of supporters.”

The message received from the Operations Director at Marine included the following compliments:

“Morning Chris – Well, a classic game of two halves!

“Your fans were a credit to you and your club. We mingled freely in amongst all your supporters all day, laughing and joking throughout.

“One lovely touch amongst many was seeing your supporters clapping our supporters at the end – what a gesture.

“You’ll all be welcomed back any time and please can you thank your fans through your socials from me and my security team for the way they conducted themselves throughout the day.”
