Advanced air quality and water conservation measures
The EV Center will feature state-of-the-art emission control systems to protect air quality. By reducing evaporation from cooling towers and reusing industrial water, the facility aims to save around 50 million gallons of water annually. It will also incorporate best practices to prevent chemicals from contaminating storm water and soil.
Community engagement and support
Ford formed the Equitable Growth Advisory Council in 2023, bringing together community leaders across West Tennessee. Guided by the University of Tennessee at Martin research, this council addresses barriers to economic participation for residents and local businesses.
Ford Philanthropy’s impact
Formerly known as the Ford Fund, Ford Philanthropy has contributed over US$21 million to West Tennessee, supporting youth programs, essential services, and first responders.
Ford Philanthropy plans to offer additional grants in 2024 and will make a significant announcement in June about further support for the Stanton community. The ongoing collaboration and investment highlight Ford’s commitment to fostering a sustainable and prosperous future for West Tennessee.
