Former Navy base’s post office reborn after being saved from demolition (The Post and Courier)

As the Charleston Naval Base kicked into high gear during World War II, the U.S. Navy built a large concrete building to serve as the base’s post office. From 1996 on, the building stood empty and boarded up. Then Reg Christopher, president of WPC Engineering, decided it could work as the company’s new offices and testing lab.
