Former royal Tessy Antony De Nassau shares message of support for Prince Harry

Former royal Tessy Antony De Nassau has shared a message of support for Prince Harry as he reunites with Meghan Markle to start their new life in Canada.

Former Princess Tessy of Luxembourg, 34, posted a throwback snap on her Instagram page alongside her ex-husband Prince Louis, 34, and the Duke of Sussex, 35, writing: ‘All the best to you and your family.’

Her comments come as Prince Harry joined Meghan Markle, 38, in Vancouver to start their new life in North America, after stepping down as senior royals.

Tessy, who lost her royal title when she divorced Prince Louis, has previously spoken out in defence of Meghan, saying last year that the Duchess ‘did not deserve’ members of her estranged family to speak about her to the press.

Tessy shared her message of support with her 16,700 followers online, posting a photograph tagged at the Davos Congress.

In the photograph, a beaming Prince Harry can be seen applauding alongside Tessy and her former husband Prince Louis as they listened to a performance of ‘Joyful Noise’ (JNC) Choir at the Hurlingham Club in November 2016.

Tessy and Prince Louis of Luxembourg, who met while serving in the army in 2004, announced in 2018 that they would be separating.

Their divorce was finalised on April 4 last year, and Tessy was stripped of her royal title.

She has previously spoken out in support of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, tweeting in defence of the couple in February last year.

She tweeted to say that the duchess ‘did not deserve’ her treatment by members of her estranged family who have repeatedly hit out at her in the press.

The 33-year-old was responding to an article in Royal Central that criticised Meghan’s estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr. and sister, Samantha Markle, for repeatedly selling stories and giving negative interviews about the royal.

Last February, Tessy tweeted her support for the Sussexes, writing: 'It's not nice to talk badly about someone else just because one can, as he or she takes advantage of the anonymity of the web. Stay Kind!!! It’s the new cool!'

It also detailed the horrific trolling levelled at Meghan and her sister-in-law the Duchess of Cambridge on social media in recent weeks.

Responding to the furore last night, Tessy tweeted: ‘No one deserves that. One should never assume. Either you know or be [quiet].’

She added: ‘It’s not nice to talk badly about someone else just because one can, as he or she takes advantage of the anonymity of the web. Stay Kind!!! It’s the new cool! She does not deserve that.’

Tessy’s latest defence of the Sussexes comes as Prince Harry arrived in Canada to begin his new life in Canada with Meghan Markle and their eight-month-old son Archie away from the Royal Family.

Now he will no longer use his courtesy HRH title – although the Queen did not formally strip it. He will be known simply as the Duke of Sussex.

Critics have accused the couple of turning their backs on the monarchy to enjoy the freedom of being able to take on commercial ventures.
