A man had to be taken to hospital to be treated for an eye injury after he was attacked at a cash machine in South Bristol.
The man, in his 40s, was at the cash machine at the Post Office in East Street, Bedminster, when he was assaulted. Police have now issued an appeal for help to catch those responsible, and released CCTV images captured from the area of four young people – some as young as 14 – who officers want to speak to in connection with the assault.
Police said the four are all white, and believed to be between around 14 and 21 years old. The assault happened in the early hours of January 29, between 1.30am and 2.30am.

The first young person to be sought by police has medium-length dark hair and is pictured wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie and black trainers. The second also has medium-length hair and is shown wearing blue jeans, a white and cream/beige-coloured zip-up jacket and white trainers. The third has short dark hair and is wearing blue jeans, a blue top and white trainers. The fourth also has short, dark hair and is shown wearing a light-coloured hoody and a black coat.
“Officers are investigating this assault of a man in his 40s,” a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said. “The man required hospital treatment for injuries to his eye. He is now at home recovering. If you recognise any of the four people pictured, please call 101 and quote reference 5224026647,” he added.
