Roy Willetts
Mr Roy Willetts, of Millgate Road, Rawtenstall, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, aged 85, at Hillview Care Home, Rawtenstall.
Roy retired from BT where he worked at the Rawtenstall Exchange.
His first job was working as a butcher for Holland’s Pies, followed by a weaver for Rothwells, before becoming a postman for Royal Mail.
He enjoyed crown green bowling, snooker and table tennis.
He was a cricket umpire for Workshop League and bowler for a cricket team.
He was also a member of CPA Bowling Club, Loveclough, Woodlea Mission until it closed in 2010.
He leaves wife Jean, daughter Christine, sons David and Peter, son-in-law Colin and David’s partner Hilary.
He also leaves grandchildren Kirsty, Kelly, Leanne, Simon and Nathan, in addition to great-grandchildren Bethany, Amber, Kian, Brody and Blake Elizabeth, brother Raymond Willetts, together with nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 12, with a service at Goodshaw Baptist at 11am followed by committal at Burnley Crematorium.
Family flowers only please, however donations, if desired, suggested to Dementia UK.

Patrick McCabe
Mr Patrick Michael McCabe, of Edgeside, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, at Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 86.

Anne Wilkinson
Anne Elizabeth Wilkinson, of Woodfield Avenue, Accrington, passed away peacefully at Holme Manor Residential Home, Rawtenstall, on Thursday, January 30, aged 93, surrounded by her family.
Wife of the late Tom, she leaves a son Peter, daughter-in-law Julie and grandchildren Beth and Joe.
In her working life she was an accounts clerk at Broad Oak in Accrington and also Master Bar.
For ten years – in the late sixties and seventies – she managed a wine shop on Higher Deardengate, Haslingden.
In her younger years Anne’s interests included baking, and she and Tom enjoyed listening to classical music, walking, and holidaying in the Lake District at Arnside together with holidays abroad including trips to Austria, Italy and Benidorm.
Anne’s funeral will take place at 11.40am on Monday, February 10, with a service and cremation at Accrington Crematorium.

Colin Moss
Mr Colin Moss, of Bacup, died on Thursday, January 30, in the Royal Blackburn Hospital after a short illness, aged 82.
Born in Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire, he came to live in Bacup in 1972.
He was employed as an industrial chemist working for the North West Water Authority until his retirement.
Colin then ran the cheese stall on Bacup market for many years and finally worked part-time for The Coal Authority, attending to the Reed beds at Broadclough in Bacup.
He leaves his wife Pat, sons Alex, Simon and Ian, daughter-in-law Karen, grandchildren Meredith and Gilbert, and many other family and friends.
There will be a service celebrating his life conducted by the Rev. Philip Norris on Thursday, February 13, at Burnley Crematorium at 1.45pm.
Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Macmillan Nurses and Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Lewis Gansler
Mr Lewis Edward Gansler, of Ronaldsway Close, Bacup, passed away at home on Sunday, February 2, aged 85.
Prior to retirement he was farming at Fairwall Farm, Stacksteads, and for 20 years previously worked as a joiner with Bacup Corporation.
He leaves his wife Valerie.
A funeral service will take place at 12noon on Friday, February 14, at Knight and Boys Chapel of Rest, Stacksteads, administered by Revd. Derek Allen, followed by cremation at Burnley Crematorium at 1pm.
Family flowers only, however donations, if desired, requested to Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary.
