A giant wave of doves is set to appear on the ceiling of a shopping centre in Nuneaton. The spectacular sight is set to be created at the Abbeygate Shopping Centre.
It will be made of thousands of white origami doves and is the brainchild of The Makery, which is based within the shopping centre. Sioux Watkins, founder of The Makery, says they want the whole community to get involved.
They hope to have the huge piece of art, which symbolises peace, in place to coincide with the towering Knife Angel coming to the town centre. Sioux told CoventryLive that each dove will contain a special message.

“The display will be suspended for everyone to enjoy in the Abbeygate,” she said. “It will be a wave of birds flying from one end to the other and finishing in a magnificent spiral.
“We will be having two special days for everyone to come along and make a bird or two, to add to the exhibit, everyone can contribute. We want to bring the community together.”
Work has started on creating the origami doves and those who would like to get involved should either call into The Makery or visit the page on Facebook.
