Quick thinking workers at a New York cafe saved a kidnapped woman on Sunday from an accused serial rapist after she sent a note through the GrubHub delivery app to call the police.
Employees at The Chipper Truck Cafe in Yonkers sensed something was wrong when they received the garbled order for an Irish breakfast roll and a beef burger a 5:50 a.m. on June 19.
‘Please call the police his going to call me when you delivered come with the cones please don’t make it obvious,’ the note to the driver said.

Concerned that someone was in trouble, café workers called the owner and asked what they should do, according to Alicia Bermejo, 20, the owner’s daughter.
‘They were, like, is this a prank? So they called my dad and he said to call the police. Better safe than sorry,’ she said.
It was no prank, according to the criminal complaint against Kemoy Royal, 33, he was apparently on a sexual rampage, allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting two women in as many weeks.

Royal is accused of meeting the women on dating apps and then luring them back to his apartment where he holds them there with death threats then forces himself on them.
Cops responded to 3719 Pratt Avenue in the Bronx after the 911 call from the Yonkers café and found the 24-year-old victim held against her will by Royal, police said.
She said that they had met on a dating app and gone back to his apartment, but that she didn’t feel comfortable and tried to leave.
That’s when Royal allegedly grabbed her by the throat and started choking her, she said.

It was only after the second victim was able to call for help through the GrubHub app that Royal was arrested
She begged him not to kill her, according to the complaint, and told him that he could rape her if he didn’t kill her.
He told her that she was going to die if she didn’t do what he told her to, and held a knife to her throat, according to a criminal complaint. When she tried to call the police, he took her phone away from her.
It was only when she asked to order food that he allowed her to have her phone back and she was able to send her cry for help to The Chipper Truck Cafe.
He told police that he thought she wanted to have sex with him, according to Bronx prosecutors.
Royal was arrested around 6:30 a.m. when he opened the door for the food delivery.
He was charged with 27 counts stemming from two sexual assaults and kidnapping, including a top charge of predatory rape and other crimes.
The accused rapist’s lawyer Zaiim Pezhmon could not be reached for comment.
After he was arrested on June 19, police discovered that there was a second victim, a 26-year-old woman who also accused Royal of sexual assault.
During that attack on June 14, he claimed during a date that he had to retrieve something from his apartment and once the woman was inside, he wouldn’t let her leave, prosecutors charge.
He attacked her, biting her breast until he drew blood, according to the criminal complaint. The victim saw knives all around his apartment, authorities said.
Royal choked the victim and at one point put his private parts in her food.
Royal told cops that he thought his victim was playing ‘cat and mouse’ with him and that he forced himself upon her ‘because he thought she was being like women are.’
He was also charged with attempted rape and sexual abuse in that case.
But the café workers are glad that they help catch him.
‘Honestly, I’m glad he’s off the streets,’ Bermejo said. ‘I’m terrified. I hope that no one else is doing anything like that, but that may just be wishful thinking.’
