Gyro has appointed Jason Fletcher executive creative director for Gyro UK. He joins from McCann Worldgroup, where he was creative managing partner. Fletcher will report directly to president, Emma Rush.
Fletcher takes on the creative leadership of Gyro London from David Curzon, who stepped down from his position as executive creative officer UK in September to pursue other opportunities. Fletcher will act as the creative lead for all clients across both London and Manchester offices, including Jones Lang Lasalle, Square, Santander and Fujitsu.
At McCann, Fletcher was the executive creative director for McCann Demand. Previously, he also held creative director roles at Publicis UK, TBWA London and Golley Slater, and was senior creative at Proximity. He has worked with major global brands, including Heineken, Four Seasons, EE and Nissan, and won numerous awards for brands such as Lexus, Royal Mail and BBC TV Licensing.
“Jason has a deep understanding of effective and innovative B2B marketing and has won many awards in this area. He will play a key role in evolving our creativity, and working with our new chief strategy officer, Simon Calvert to grow our full-service B2B capabilities blending creativity with data and tech. Having worked with him before, I am delighted that he is joining us,” said Emma Rush, president, Gyro UK.
Fletcher added: “I am thrilled to be to taking the creative helm at Gyro UK. It has never been more important to develop innovative, effective B2B campaigns with clients. With data, strategy, creative, tech and media all together, Gyro UK is perfectly placed to do this at the pace the current landscape requires.
“I’m really looking forward to working with the whole team and augmenting the existing talent and culture. The opportunity to reunite with Emma and to work alongside Simon Calvert makes this a really exciting opportunity.”
