Harrow’s Royal Mail collection office to close, customers directed to Greenford

The Royal Mail collection office at the Hawthorne Centre on Elmgrove Road, Harrow, will permanently close this weekend, affecting customers across the borough.

From Saturday, 9 November 2024, residents will need to travel to a new collection point in Greenford to pick up any missed parcels or items.

This change means that customers who miss a delivery will now need to collect it from the Harrow Delivery Office at Auriol Drive, Greenford, UB6 0TP. The aim of relocating the service to a nearby, larger facility is to provide more modern and suitable facilities for postal staff.

Royal Mail notice.

Royal Mail will continue to leave a “Something for you” card after a missed delivery, which provides instructions for arranging a redelivery or collecting items in person.

For those opting to collect in person, it’s essential to bring the “Something for you” card and appropriate ID. Customers can also use the card to check any additional information online, including options to pay fees if needed.
