Hartshead Resources NL completes major milestone for UK gas assets with submission of concept select report

Hartshead Resources NL (ASX:HHR) has passed a major milestone for the development of its United Kingdom Southern Gas Basin assets, submitting a concept select report (CSR) for Phase 1 gas development of the Anning and Somerville gas fields to the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA).

The CSR describes the preferred development concept of the Anning and Somerville gas fields developments, ranked against other potential development options and including a detailed description of subsurface interpretation, planned development wells, production forecasts and facilities, gas transportation routes to market, QHSE and commercial and economic aspects of the development.

Hartshead’s preferred development concept consists of six production wells from two wireline-capable normally unmanned installation (NUI) platforms at Anning and Sommerville.

The platforms will then connect subsea to third-party infrastructure for transportation and processing to enter the UK gas network.

“Immensely gratifying”

“Every milestone like this is a step further towards Hartshead becoming a UK gas producer and playing our part in the UK’s energy security and energy transition,” Hartshead CEO Chris Lewis said.

“Seeing the development project take shape and having a clear development plan and offtake route identified is immensely gratifying after all the hard work put in by the team so far.

“I now look forward to the next phase and submitting a final field development plan later this year.”

Hartshead will now move the development of Anning and Somerville into the ‘concept define’ stage, with front end engineering and design (FEED) studies expected to begin in the coming months, in parallel with preparations for project financing of Phase 1 development.
