Phoenix Spencer-Horn’s heartbroken loved ones have raised more than £22,000 for Women’s Aid by completing the Edinburgh Kiltwalk.
Ewan Methven brutally murdered the 21-year-old at a flat they shared in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, last November. The 27 year-old Royal Mail postman later dialled 999 himself insisting he had a drug-induced blackout and could not remember what he had done.
But, it emerged after stabbing the 21 year-old to death, Phoenix’s evil boyfriend mutilated her body, pretended to her mother while she was still alive while also trawling the internet for porn for hours.

On Sunday, family, friends, and colleagues took on the Kiltwalk in Edinburgh in Phoenix’s name, reports the Record.
The group – who have called themselves Phe’s Angel Fighters – chose to support Glasgow Women’s Aid and hundreds of donations poured in for the cause – with over £22,000 now raised towards a £35,000 target.
Jen Strachan, who organised the fundraiser, wrote on the Gofundme page: “Our darling Phoenix was only 21 when she was taken from us, leaving the biggest hole in our hearts.
“Phe was the most high spirited, cheerful daughter & friend with the best sense of humour – always looking out for other people & putting others first.
“Her name, Phoenix, now stands for more than loss. It stands for action. For change. For refusing to let her story end in silence. This is what it means to rise from the ashes – to take devastation and use it to protect others.
“On the 14th September, a number of us will be walking 20 miles in support of Glasgow Women’s Aid but most importantly, to remember our beautiful friend, Phoenix.
“Phe’s legacy will live on forever, her name will never be forgotten and she will always be the girl with the stunning smile. We love you Phe.”
Glasgow Woman’s Aid thanked the family for their “unwavering determination and generosity” ahead of the walk.
They said in a statement: “Today we stand behind the inspiring friends and family of Phoenix Spencer-Horn as they embark on the Edinburgh Kilt Walk. Walking side by side for 21 miles in Phe’s memory.
“Their unwavering determination and generosity will make a huge difference in her name. Thank you Phe’s Fighters and good luck!”
The café where Phoenix worked in Strathaven, Roasted, added: “For the fallen daughter/friend/colleague known as Phe. This is for you kid.”
In July, we told how a a beautifully handcrafted memorial bench had been dedicated to Phoenix in the grounds of the Strathaven Hotel where she previously worked.
The wooden bench, designed by local craftspeople in the market town, pays tribute to the popular and beautiful young woman with a poignant inscription which reads: “Phe, the girl with the stunning smile. 21 ‘forever young'”.
In a nod to her favourite song, Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, the lyric ‘thunder only happens when it’s raining’ is featured on the bench along with Phoenix’s date of birth and the date she died. The words, ‘love you, bye’ are also carved inside a red love heart.
The close-knit community has been rocked by the tragic events that happened on November 18, 2024 when Phoenix was killed in the East Kilbride flat she shared with killer boyfriend Ewan Methven.
She had suffered a total of 20 stab wounds – the fatal one to the chest. Described in court as “the personification of evil”, Methven admitted to the gruesome murder as he appeared in the dock in July.
Judge Lord Matthews ordered him to spend at least 23 years behind bars before he can be considered for parole.
