Helen Glover appeared to confirm pregnancy with husband Steve Backshall on Monday evening.
The Olympic rower, 33, cradled what seemed to be her growing baby bump on the red carpet as she proudly posed alongside her husband, 46, at the The Mirror Animal Hero Awards, in partnership with People’s Postcode Lottery and Webbox, at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Helen’s apparent pregnancy comes a year after she welcomed her first child with Steve in July 2018, following the tragic miscarriage of his twin.

Helen looked sensational at the ceremony, clad in a classic black gown, which boasted a subtle hint of shimmer.
The Olympian slipped into a black, low-heeled pair of barely there shoes and kept her accessories to a minimum.
She was glowing as she smiled for photographs, and enhanced her natural beauty with a bronzed make-up look and lashings of mascara.
Steve looked dapper in a royal blue three piece suit, which he teamed with a white shirt and skinny black tie, while holding up a union jack print umbrella.

Last year Helen announced that she had given birth to her firstborn by posting a touching Instagram snap of her husband’s thumb gently pressed against their baby’s tiny foot.
Announcing his arrival on social media, thrilled Helen posted: ‘Steve and I are excited to welcome Baby Boy Backshall to the world.’
‘We promise to make it a great one for you little man,’ she added.

Logan’s arrival was overshadowed by tragedy, with Helen miscarrying her son’s twin three months before giving birth.
Breaking the news on social media in April 2018, she tweeted: ‘Thanks for all your lovely messages. We’ve had the hard news that one baby hasn’t made it but we are very excited and hopeful for the remaining baby to arrive this summer.’
Husband Steve tweeted his own message, writing: ‘Many thanks for all your kind messages. We’ve had the news that one twin has not survived, but are still looking forward to our new addition this summer. Sb.’

Earlier this year, Helen admitted that being a mother to Logan has helped change her priorities in a way that her unwavering dedication to sport never did.
‘The thing about being an athlete is that you are totally selfish and your world is very small and it revolves around you,’ she told Hello!
‘But when you are a mum you have to be totally selfless as you have something that is far more important than you. Everything comes second.’
She added: ‘I never anticipated loving motherhood so much. I was proud of what my body could do as a rower but I am even prouder of it as a mother. As a mum you become so aware of what your body is capable of.’
