Here’s the Actual Motive behind the Professor Robbing the Royal Mint..!!

In the series Money Heist, the professor spent years perfecting the Royal Mint plan in Money Heist but it was not really about money.  The actual reason why he wanted to Rob the royal mint and why it meant to him so much.

About the show

Money heist is a criminal mastermind. Like many great thieves, the professor was partly motivated simply by the art of the heist.  He planned the job down to the smallest details and packed it with contingencies and back up solutions with the assumption that at some time something would go wrong.

In season 1 the professor assembled a crew of robbers who were strangers to each other. Unlike most heist where the goal is to get in and out as quickly as possible the Royal mint heist involves stalling for as much time as possible in order to use the machines inside the building to print untraceable bills.  The crew is inside the building for 11days.

The professor was neither poor nor desperate since organizing a heist required a considerable investment upfront for all the equipment and planning.  For him, it was a lot more than just getting rich Because

The Professor Wanted To Honor His Father!

The professor did not actually come up with the. Plot it was his father Jesus Marquina who devised it originally.  As a child professor was always confined to hospital beds as he was sick and his father wanted to pay for him to get treated in America so he robbed a bank in order to raise funds but was killed in a shout-out. When Berlin ( professor’s brother)  comes across the professor burning the photo of himself and his father in season 2 he remarks,  ” we are doing it for him “. The professor wanted to make his father’s dream true.
