Hermes say that means a whopping 70% saving when compared to Royal Mail’s 2nd Class service and 50% less than their Tracked 48 with Signature option, based on comparing online prices and services for Royal Mail’s 2nd Class (3 day) and Tracked 48 with Signature (2-3 day) services for a medium parcel weighing up to 10kg sent from Leeds to London, with matching limits for loss or damage cover, along with service features such a signature and tracking where required for closest direct comparison.
To get hte best price, print off your label at home or work and then take your parcel to any of Hermes 4,700 drop-off points. You can find a full list of Hermes Parcelshops where you can drop your parcels off here.
Alternatively if you have too many parcels to take to a Parcelshop, the Hermes discount for collection is £6.59 inc VAT (previously the cost was £7.09 inc VAT). They’ll either from you directly or you can simply leave your parcels in a preferred safe place and they’ll pick them up.
Hermes lowest rates for Postable items
Don’t forget that whilst the Hermes discount is attractive, they have an even lower rate for postable items, which was introduced in . At just £1.89 Ex VAT, the Hermes Postable service is one of the lowest priced options around, with almost guaranteed first time delivery and full end-to-end tracking.
Hermes Postable service is designed for items no more than 23cm wide, 35cm long and 3cm deep, but at least 1 cm deep and no more than 1kg in weight.
