The game is afoot to find the hidden details in these stamps from the BBC hit Sherlock.
The Royal Mail is issuing 10 stamps to celebrate Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved sleuth.
Six stamps depict characters from the series with Benedict Cumberbatch as Holmes.
Fans have to shine UV light on them to find clues. Four other stamps explore other famous stories. Sherlock producer Sue Vertue said: “I am ridiculously excited.”
They go on sale from August 18, a full set is priced £13.50.
Last year it was speculated Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody director Dexter Fletcher is set to direct the third instalment of the Sherlock Holmes film series starring Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law.
According to Variety, the director will take over the duties of Guy Ritchie who directed the first two films in the franchise.
So far, the only two actors confirmed to appear are Downey Jr as the world’s greatest detective and Jude Law as his sidekick, Doctor Watson.
Other possible returnees for the film include Chernobyl star Jared Harris as Holmes’ nemesis Professor James Moriarty, Stephen Fry as Mycroft Holmes, and Kelly Reilly as Watson’s wife Mary Morstan.
It is unlikely that Rachel McAdams will return as Irene Adler, given the small fact that she was killed off in the previous film, A Game of Shadows.
Now that Downey Jr has permanently retired as Iron Man/Tony Stark following the events of Avengers Endgame, it seems it is finally time for him to pick up that magnifying glass again.
He will also be appearing in the reboot of Doctor Dolittle, which is also in development.
Jude Law’s future in the MCU is less certain, having appeared as the villainous Kree warrior Yonn-Rogg in this year’s billion-dollar hit Captain Marvel.
Sherlock Holmes 3 is released in cinemas on December 22, 2021.
