Mount Prospect's downtown redevelopment consultants say two areas of the downtown are better suited to residential development — the post office, and the light industrial area south of the railroad tracks. "Post offices have started consolidating," said Kevin Clark, a vice president with the Lakota Group, the Chicago consultant that helped prepare the report.
