At Rose Stacey’s photography studio in Bridgwater, Somerset, the most popular pictures are shots of people’s newborn babies — and pets. “They say never work with animals and children. We do both,” she said.
Her business, Timeless Images, is booming thanks to the influx of workers toiling away on the construction of the nearby Hinkley Point C power plant. And she may soon benefit from another mega-project on her doorstep: a multibillion-pound “gigafactory” for Jaguar Land Rover, which could create thousands of jobs.
“Anything that brings more people into the town can only be a good thing,” Stacey said.
