How to get a free personalised letter from Santa to your child through Royal Mail

‘Tis the season to start getting your Christmas presents ready for your little ones as Christmas Day nears.

And how about go the extra mile for your tot this year… we’re not talking dressing up as Santa or using fake snow to make footprints up the stairs, oh no, we’re talking a personalised letter from Father Christmas himself.

How, you ask? Well, Royal Mail has the answers, and they’ve shared details about how kids can post their letters and get a reply by Christmas Eve.

Royal Mail said: “It’s nearly Christmas, and we know you want to make sure that your letter to Santa Claus gets to him.

“We’ve just received the message below from Santa himself – he’s as excited about Christmas as we are.

“Please remember, as Santa says: get your letter posted by Friday, December 10.”

So, what do you have to do? Well, after your little one has written their letter to Santa, pop it in an envelope, put a stamp on and include your full name and address.

You’ll need to make sure the letter is sent by Friday 10 December… so that Santa can write back with plenty of time, as he’s a busy guy!

And if they’re being sent as part of a school then there’s an earlier deadline of Friday 3 December.

Santa says: “I’ll be replying to your letters from November 30, but there’s a lot of you to reply to! Please wait up to ten days for my letter to arrive.”
