Huge police 999 response after violence breaks out in Nuneaton street

Police swarmed to a Nuneaton street after a mass fight broke out. Passers-by spotted the large emergency services presence in Church Road last night (May 18).

A property, known locally as a half-way house, was cordoned off with police tape. A Warwickshire Police spokesman has confirmed that officers were called to ‘violent disorder’ at 7.30pm and arrests were made.

“Police received reports of a group of people fighting on Church Street. Officers arrived and arrested three men and one woman.

“Three were taken to hospital before being discharged and conveyed to custody.”

The woman and two of the men have today (May 19) been released on bail while enquiries continue. The third man remains in custody.

A witness appeal has been launched and anyone with any information should visit online and quote incident 435 of May 18.
