Hull protest live: Fire on Spring Bank and police injured in city centre

Hundreds flocked to Hull city centre today (Saturday, August 3) for a planned protest.

As the evening continues, doctors have spoken about how they cannot get in or out of the hospital, all trains in and out of Hull have been cancelled and police officers have been injured.

Several fires have broken out across the city and local businesses have reported damage.

Riots have recently taken place in Southport, Hartlepool, London and Sunderland after three young girls were stabbed to death in Southport, Merseyside, on Monday. Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, were tragically killed in a knife attack at a Taylor Swift themed dance class.

Humberside Police have confirmed four people have been arrested.
