Humane Society to raise awareness of pet adoptions May 8 at Clarinda post office

A 50 year tradition continued on April 30 2010, with the dedication of the U.S. Postal Service’s latest social awareness stamp: Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet. The sheet of stamps features photographs of five cats and five dogs from an animal shelter in New Milford, CT. With the issuance of these stamps the Postal Service is continuing to raise awareness of important social issues.
