IDS’ Royal Mail Gets Five-Year HM Passport Contract

By Ian Walker

International Distribution Services said Monday that its Royal Mail unit has won a five-year contract with HM Passport office to collect and deliver passports and other documents, including U.K. Visas and Immigration travel documents.

The London-listed company said that it has already started delivering some documents on behalf of the passport office and will become its main supplier for passport delivery by October.

It didn’t provide any financial details of the contract.

“We are immensely proud to have been awarded the contract for delivering the U.K.’s Passports…We are already working with HM Passport Office on further enhancements to the service that will roll out later this year,” Royal Mail Chief Commercial Officer Nick Landon said.
