Genderless clothing brand Pangaia, known for its planet-conscious loungewear, has opened its first standalone bricks-and-mortar store in the UK on London’s Carnaby Street.

Located at 57 Carnaby Street, the 1,500 sq ft space Is home to the environmentally conscious collection of fashion and lifestyle products including the brand’s range of genderless adult and kids’ styles in bright and neutral shades.

As visitors enter the store, they’ll be met by a blue sphere installation, created to symbolise Mother Earth. This, along with the natural hues of the store, is meant to mirror the earth-conscious clothing range. It also includes a live planter specifically chosen to thrive in the microclimate of a shop.

Beyond shopping, visitors can also learn about Pangaias’s ground-breaking materials science innovations, further highlighting the brand’s commitment to science, purpose, and design.

Nathalie Longuet, CEO at Pangaia, said: “We are excited to open the doors of our very first standalone UK store in the cultural hub of Carnaby Street in London. We hope our customers will enjoy discovering our purpose-driven apparel while reconnecting with nature and finding a sense of calm in the heart of London.”

Michelle McGrath, Executive Director at Shaftesbury Capital, added: “Pangaia is one of the most interesting and innovation-driven brands globally. Their flagship UK debut in Soho’s Carnaby Street underscores the district’s reputation for UK firsts, world-class experiences and sought-after consumer demographics.”

Pangaia was founded in 2018 by Miroslava Duma, who started the business with a mission “to ensure every product it produces is better for the planet than if it did not exist”.

The new store builds upon Soho’s reputation as the go-to location for first stores. It will be surrounded by retailers including Axel Arigato, whose Soho store was its debut in the UK, plus End and Adidas Originals, whose Soho locations were global firsts.
