Inquest into Diss accident due to go ahead

An inquest into the death of the victim of a lorry collision in Mere Street is due to open tomorrow.

Emergency services were called at around 2.30pm on July 16 to reports of an incident at the roundabout near Morrisons, Diss.

The victim, Maureen Self, 75, had been involved in a collision with a Royal Mail lorry.

She was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

Well-wishers have left flowers and cards at the scene of the accident.

The road remained closed while investigations into the circumstances of the collision took place.

The inquest is due to take place tomorrow at Norfolk Coroner’s Court in Norwich.
