International performer ‘excited’ to return to Herefordshire

A PERFORMING act that starred on the Jonathan Ross show says it is excited to perform in Herefordshire.

Björn Again: Performing ABBA’s Greatest Hits is set to take the stage at El Dorado festival which will take place from June 30 to July 3.

The group’s founder Rod Stephen said he was excited to return to the county.

Björn Again began in 1988 in Melbourne, Australia, and over the years has had performers from Canada, America, Poland, Sweden and more.

The show is scripted and choreographed as a tongue-in-cheek satirical parody of ABBA, and the show rapidly achieved cult status soon after it started.

RELATED NEWS:

The show has performed over 5,400 shows in 72 countries in its 33 years.

In 1991 Björn Again maintained a hectic touring schedule and was invited to the Jonathon Ross show before going on tour throughout the UK.

El Dorado festival was cancelled last year amid restrictions around the Covid-19 pandemic, when Björn Again was originally due to perform.

The festival is expected to go ahead as planned this year so revellers from Herefordshire and beyond can enjoy the line-up.

“The people were very welcoming.

“It is a special treat to be performing in Herefordshire.”

Mr Stephen has visited Ledbury before where he said he has a wander around and enjoyed a lovely coffee and cake.

“I am very much looking forward to being back,” he said.
