Inspired Thinking Group (ITG), the tech-based content specialist, has appointed its first ever chief creative officer as part of plans to push the boundaries of creativity and set new standards in the output of quality “halo content”.
Joanna Wilby takes on the role with immediate effect, having been promoted from executive creative director; a role she has held for nearly six years. Prior to that, Wilby worked in senior creative roles at She Says, Lick Creative and Coutts Creative Shopper Marketing.
ITG was launched in 2009 by former SP Group and St Ives chief Simon Ward, with a senior team that included ex-Royal Mail and Asda boss Allan Leighton and business guru Rene Carayol.
The company’s marketing technology suite, supported by 1,500 staff around the world and a 24-hour creative production studio, already manages the global marketing operations of over 100 major brands, including John Lewis Partnership, Heineken, Puma, M&S and KFC. Its creative mission is to extend brands’ creative concepts across channels efficiently and effectively.
Wilby will report to ITG UK chief executive Sue Mountford, and work closely with client teams to deliver across verticals including in-store, social, CRM and digital.
Mountford commented: “I’ve had the privilege of working with Jo for over five years and have watched her develop into an inspiring leader. Jo is the perfect fit to lead our creative teams to deliver impactful, multichannel campaigns for our clients, transforming the way brands do marketing.
“Her unwavering focus on delivering high-quality, highly engaging creative work that exceeds expectations makes her an ideal leader for this next chapter.”
Wilby added: “I’m privileged to be continuing my journey with ITG in this role. We have an incredible client base, fantastic teams and supporting them to deliver quality, channel relevant halo content is a challenge I can’t wait to tackle. The opportunities to innovate are endless, and I’m looking forward to the next chapter.”
