ITV The Chase’s Bradley Walsh floored by contestant’s royal link

Bradley Walsh has been left open-mouthed after a contestant revealed as royal link on ITV The Chase tonight. Will, Jon, Lauren and Mamta were on the show on Thursday night.

Thursday’s instalment of the show was another repeat, with ITV airing Cheltenham Festival coverage all week. Jon revealed that he had built a table for Zara Tindall on tonight’s episode of The Chase.

Host Bradley Walsh couldn’t believe the player’s regal commission. Bradley asked Jon: “Nicest thing you’ve ever done?”

The artisan replied: “Probably a big dinner table for Zara Tindall.” Bradley replied: “Do you really like it?”, and the furniture maker confirmed: “Yes.” Bradley said: “Nice! Very good.”

40 year old Zara is a famous equestrian, an Olympian, and the daughter of Anne, Princess Royal, and Captain Mark Phillips. She is the eldest granddaughter of her mother’s parents Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and is 21st in line of succession to the British throne.

She married rugby union player Mike Tindall in 2011. Tindall gave birth to a daughter, Mia Grace, in 2014.

Their second daughter, Lena Elizabeth, was born in 2018 at the Stroud Maternity Hospital, and is 23rd in the line of succession. ITV The Chase continues to air each and every weekday from 5pm til 6pm on ITV 1 and also on the ITV Hub.
