From drug dealers to a mugging and assault, here are the cases that ended in a jail sentence this week:

Two county lines dealers who flooded Reading with ‘substantial quantities’ of class A drugs and ‘bullied’ vulnerable drug users have been jailed.
Pedro Moura and Haider Fernandes ran a drugs line called “LJ and Pablo” which ran drugs from London to the town, prosecutors said.
Police obtained warrants and raided the dealers’ homes on August 18 last year, a judge was told.

Nathan Palmer, prosecuting, told how 1.25kg of cocaine was among the drugs seized at Moura’s address.
Diamorphine and cannabis were also seized, along with burner phones and paraphernalia used to cut drugs. Moura was found with £3,875 in cash and Fernandes was found with £130.
The judge sentenced Fernandes to three years in prison for being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Moura was jailed for four years and 10 months, as the court heard he had been in possession of a greater quantity of the class A drugs and had also been dealing cannabis.

Two drug dealers have been jailed for running a Class A drug line in Slough.
Yasin Sharif, 28, of Kitchener Road, Slough, was jailed for 45 months after being charged with two counts of dealing heroin and cocaine between September 21 and November 15 last year.
His co-defendant Hamza Mohamed, of Waterbeach Road, Slough, was jailed for 33 months for the same two counts.
The 25-year-old was also charged on four separate counts of assaulting emergency workers and failing to surrender for court bail and was sentenced for a further six months.

Sentencing Judge Kirsty Real jailed Sharif for 45 months on count one and 45 months concurrent for count two.
Mohamed received 33 months for count one and 33 months concurrent for count two. He received a six months consecutive sentence for the assault of the nurse and one month concurrent for each of the officers assaulted.

A man has been jailed for four years after he and others mugged a man in Reading before kicking him into the River Thames.
The incident occurred in the early hours of July 6 last year when a group of men befriended the victim, Benjamin Woods, at St Mary’s Church in the town centre.
Adam Waite, among others, stole the victim’s phone, bankcard and cash before ‘kicking’ him into the river at Berkeley Avenue.

Mr Woods suffered from head injuries and was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Waite, 24, of Highlands Park, Wargrave, was sentenced to four years and one month in jail at Reading Crown Court on Thursday (May 11) for his involvement in the case.
