There are few things better than a shaken-not-stirred martini. The latest collectible plush from Steiff is one of them!
Yesterday, Oct. 5, was James Bond Day, celebrating the release of the first Bond film, Dr. No, on Oct. 5, 1962. Steiff is celebrating one of the most iconic film characters of all time with two new teddy bear plush based on characters from the original movie.
There are two plush in this collection. The limited-edition Dr. No teddy bear is dressed for action in James Bond’s iconic suit and bow tie. This bear features a wind-up music box inside it that plays the James Bond theme and only has 3,000 units. The second bear in the collection is the “Dr. Julius No” bear. This bear is wearing Dr. No’s costume from the 1962 movie, including a white suit and leather gloves. There are 1,962 of these bears available (get it?).
Both bears also feature themed embroidery on the bottoms of their feet, including the 007 logo and “Dr. No.” The music box bear also features embroidered music notes.
This is the second James Bond-themed release from the plush manufacturer. Early last year, Steiff released a limited-edition James Bond bear to commemorate the franchise’s 60th anniversary.
The new music box bear and the Dr. Julius No bear are both available at steiff.com and faoschwarz.com for $345 and $310, respectively. Even if Connery isn’t your favorite Bond, these plush are a must-have!
