Jet2 has relaunched its ‘Bid for a Break’ scheme, with new holidays up for grabs every other month this year
Jet2 has announced the return of a bargain initiative which could see passengers scoring cheap holidays for as little as “just a few pence.”
The ‘Bid for a Break’ competition begins today (May 12) at 10am and will be running every other month until 2026, giving holidaymakers the possibility to snag a great value holiday by entering their own ‘bid.”
Jet2 said one lucky tourist managed to purchase a getaway with an offer of only 2p during a previous year when the competition was run.
It said: “First launched in 2021, Bid for a Break has experienced phenomenal popularity, with millions of customers bidding in the online auction to win getaways with Jet2holidays, with the lowest ever successful bid being just 2p.

“Today’s announcement means that customers have six chances to bid on a break following the relaunch of the campaign, with holidays being given away in May, July, September, November, January and March.”
According to the airline, the first holiday open for bidding will be a seven-day trip to Halkidiki, Greece for two adults and two children in a four star hotel.
To be in for the chance of winning, travellers must make sure to get their bids in between May 12 and 19.
The next getaway available to bid on after May’s holiday offer will be on July 14, so make sure the alarm’s set!
Customers looking to get a bargain trip away must download or open the Jet2 app, visit the ‘Offers’ page and select ‘Bid for a Break.’
Once the page has been reached, flyers must fill out the online form with their contact details, adding in their “lowest unique bid” to the “nearest pence.”
Jet2 added: “All you need to do is place the lowest unique bid and you’ll win if you’re the person to bid that amount and it’s the lowest.
“Cross your fingers and hope your bid wins!”

Jet2’s latest competition follows the news the airline is partnering up with SignLive to offer British Sign Language interpretation.
The free service provided will allow customers to have the option to have their telephone conversations with the airline and tour operator translated into British Sign Language (BSL) in real time.
By introducing the sign language partnership, passengers who are deaf or hard of hearing will now be able to have their phone conversations with the airline’s assisted travel team interpreted in real time, with the conversation then relayed via the SignLive app or web browser.
