A HOUSEBOUND pensioner is not happy with the compensation and lack of reassurance he has had from Royal Mail.
Ian Roper, who is 77 years old and relies on the post for banking arrangements, medical appointments and general communication because he does not use the internet received nothing for three months.
When he rang Royal Mail he was told that his post had been redirected to an address in Manchester. Two months later and after multiple complaints, he is still unsure if the post is coming to the correct address.

However, he did receive an apology and £50 compensation.
Mr Roper said: “I think it is a bit pathetic to be quite honest. I have got the cheque sitting on my desk.”
When asked if he was now receiving post he said: “I am not sure about that. I have been in touch with my bank and I said I need a cheque book but I do not know if it will be sent to my address or not.
“It is a bit of a struggle. There are no reassurances or anything.”
Royal Mail has been approached for comment. Previously, it said it was trying to resolve the issue with Mr Roper.
