Kent is set for another “sunny” day today (August 6) as the warmer weather makes a return ahead of next week, which is predicted to be another heatwave. The Kent county, which is expected to be sunny for the majority of the day, is likely to see thousands of people flock to the beaches to enjoy another summer holiday weekend.
While more inland areas of the county are set to hit 20C and stay sunny for the entire day, some coastal regions such as Dover are expected to experience some cloud around lunchtime before the sun makes its reappearance. While most of the county will remain at around the 20C mark, Tunbridge Wells will exceed this, reaching 22C this afternoon.
Predicting today’s weather forecast, a Met Office spokesperson said: “Dry with plenty of sunshine, although this occasionally hazy due to some high cloud. Perhaps the odd patch of cloud spreading southeast through the afternoon but staying dry. Feeling warm, but cooler near east Kent coasts with an onshore breeze. Maximum temperature 25 °C.”

As well as experience warm temperatures throughout the day, the county is set for some pleasant weather this evening too as conditions remain dry with “clear” skies. With a heatwave expected towards the end of next week, with temperatures set to reach the 30C mark again, people across the county should make the most of a slightly cooler climate this weekend before temperatures rake up a notch.
With sunny weather expected for today and tomorrow, thousands of Kent residents and people from further afield are expected to flock to the beaches to make the most of today’s weather. And with a few pride events also taking place across the Kent county, the area is expected to be busier than usual today.
