King Charles III cypher postbox appears in Worcester

The postbox, located on School Bank in Claines, has King Charles’ cypher and could be the first one in the Worcester area.

Older Royal Mail box boxes have ER marked into them for his mother, Queen Elizabeth.

Taking to Facebook, staff at Claines Church, said: “How wonderful we have a new postbox on School Bank opposite the church, a King Charles III one, how smart.”

The first Royal Mail postbox with his cypher was revealed in Cambridgeshire in 2024 but it is believed this could be the first one near Worcester.
