LA city offices closed for Cesar Chavez Day
Los Angeles Times Federal offices, including the US Post Office, also will remain open. In 2000, state legislators and former Gov. Gray Davis established March 31 as Cesar Chavez Day, the first state holiday in the country to honor a Latino or organized labor figure. |
