Cheltenham Festival revellers turned the racecourse into a dancefloor and enjoyed an impromptu party as Ladies’ Day came to an end this evening.
Racegoers sipped on Champagne and pints of Guinness as they celebrated their wins with friends old and new.
At one point a couple of female friends were roped into showing their signature moves with a man who whipped off his t-shirt in excitement.
Elsewhere a group of young men threw their arms around each other and jumped up and down – clearly delighted with the day’s results.
The frivolities continued today – the second day of the four-day meet – despite the growing threat of coronavirus. This afternoon the World Health Organisation officially declared the outbreak a pandemic and the number of confirmed cases in the UK rising to 458 – an increase of 85 in a single day.
